Safety House Incursion
Students at the Primary and Education Support Centre were entertained by a Safety House incursion from Safety House WA. The event provided safety education to improve students’ confidence and skills to enable them to look after their own safety when travelling to and from school. The school is always on the lookout for new Safety Houses, so if you are interested in joining the program, please contact the school.
National Literacy and Numeracy Week
Pre-primary have been working on activities designed to focus on the development of logical thought, mathematical reasoning and the ability to explain thought processes. Pre-primary students also learnt about the concept of one to one correspondence using cotton wool balls as part of the preparation for the Early Childhood Petting Zoo: an initiative of our on-going partnership with Curtin University to promote STEM subjects in the Early Years.
Faction Athletics Carnival
Students participated in the Beldon Primary School Faction Athletics Carnival on Monday September 4th. The day was a huge success thanks once again to Mr Reid’s superb organisation. Congratulations to students for giving their best on the day, and to Karda who were the winning.
Interschool Cross Country
Congratulations to all the children who competed in the Interschool Cross Country held at Heathridge Oval on the 17th August. It was a very rewarding and successful day and great sportsmanship was displayed by all.
Story Book Characters
There was an amazing array of creative costumes for the free dress day. There was the Cat In The Hat with his Thing 1 and Thing 2, the Queen Hearts and the White Rabbit. There were Elsa’s galore, Angry Ladybirds, Maze Runners, The Grinch made an grumpy appearance while Captain Jack Sparrow went to art. We found Wally in a few different places and Spiderman was very engaged in learning activities. From the kitchen to the art room, the undercover area sports to various classrooms strange characters were replacing our students and having a great time in the process.
Congratulations to all the students who competed in the recent Beldon Master Chef Competition. The finals were held on Monday, 26 June with Chef Shane from Clarke’s of North Beach judging each of the meals. It was a tough competition with junior chef Rosy from C6 edging out her competitors.
A big thank you to Chef Shane for coming to Beldon Primary School to judge the competition, to Mrs Pashill for organising the event and to our budding chefs Jaxon, Haily, Millie, Ella and Codie for their fantastic effort to make the finals.
Congratulations to all our students who competed in the Beldon Speaks competition. The competition was very tight and the judges had a difficult time deciding the winners from each of the year levels who have competed so far.

Fremantle Dockers Visit
Year 4 students were treated to a fantastic experience when players from the Fremantle Dockers visited the school on Tuesday, 13 June. Our students learned some great footy tips from the players, as well as had the opportunity to get their autographs.

Clean Up Beldon Day
Beldon Primary School staff and students took part in “Clean Up Beldon Day” on Thursday, 25 May. The day was a huge success with countless bags of rubbish cleaned up from the school. The students loved seeing the Principal join in wearing her HAZMAT suit.

Kindy to Year 1 students have been enjoying their recent Scitech Incursion. Able to explore different methods of picking things up, using such implements as cups and velcro boards. Everyone had a fantastic time.
Friday, 5 May was our schools Lapathon. All our kids had a wonderful time, with many teachers, parents and younger siblings joining in the fun! All monies received before Friday, 26 May go into a draw to win a Coles Myer Gift Card.
Congratulations to all students who took part in our annual Sizzling Speller competition. Our students did us proud with their efforts, including spelling many words beyond their year levels!!

Beldon Primary School commemorated ANZAC Day with a service on Wednesday, 5 April. Mr Braden Searle spoke about his experiences with the Navy, both here and on overseas deployment. He spoke about how important it is for students to have respect and to use good manners.
Mr Searle is currently at Beldon Primary School completing his teacher training whilst working as an Education Assistant. Our Student Councillors ran the ANZAC Assembly and hosted a wonderful presentation.
Lest We Forget.
On Tuesday 21 March, Beldon Primary School celebrated Harmony Day. Students participated in activities throughout the day, culminating in a shared lunch for the entire school. Students feasted on a wide variety of dishes, including many international cuisines.
Thanks to chef Stephen Clarke from Clarke’s of North Beach for helping out at our Dinner Under the Stars. Also a big thank you to our amazing students who, with the help of Mrs Pashill and other staff members, produced the seven course degustation menu served throughout the evening. What an impressive evening under the stars!
